The developer of the Legacy Tower at Miami Worldcenter have filed for a construction permit and for Federal Aviation Administration height approval.

The filing with the FAA was received by the government on September 29.

According to the application, Legacy will be taller than any other tower currently at Miami Worldcenter. The tallest height of the Legacy structure is proposed to be 661 feet above ground, or 671 feet above sea level.

By comparison, Paramount Miami Worldcenter across the street topped off at 641 feet above ground.

Separately, a preliminary filing was made with Miami’s Building Department on September 14 for a construction permit to begin building Legacy (the filing was not completed, and department review does not yet appear to be underway).

The construction permit lists a tower height of 50 stories, or 659 feet.

Total construction cost is estimated at $176,295,001

There will be 549 units, along with 7,400 square feet of restaurant space, the permit states. Total development area is listed at 1,007,400 square feet.
